@bubblegum297
odyssey’s have no feel at all. It’s like putting with a marshmallow insert. No quality at all, how can you take a cast putter made with plastic over a milled putter?

MMuunncchhiieess September 1, 2010 at 11:11 am

@thatgibsonguy0001 Haha I doubt that’s true but if it is then awesome!

steamingpoopfart September 1, 2010 at 12:07 pm

wtf is a chipper?

NYPD115 September 1, 2010 at 1:04 pm

@thatgibsonguy0001 what is wrong with a “chipper” is that it is a fairy club for hackers. when you chip use an iron or a wedge, not one of those 15 dollar half wedge half hybrid gay pieces of garbage.

Garciamrcool September 1, 2010 at 1:07 pm

These guys are on smack, and manage to say less that nothing about the putters

0123kid September 1, 2010 at 1:50 pm

these guys are so boring and dull

christiancoker1 September 1, 2010 at 2:01 pm

Do it! Scotty Cameron and Odyssey and Rife are all good. I’ve heard the Taylormade putters are good too. You can’t go wrong with Titleist or Taylormade!

spateeight September 1, 2010 at 2:56 pm

yes .you shud start with a good putter. If you buy a driver first or irons youl end up getting forgiving ones and end up changing them later on.

BoweTheShow September 1, 2010 at 3:55 pm

its just sounds funny, theres nothing wrong with it

thatgibsonguy0001 September 1, 2010 at 4:05 pm

jojo2799 September 1, 2010 at 4:31 pm

i got a futura a few years back and just got a detour

BoweTheShow September 1, 2010 at 5:22 pm

chipper? lol

thatgibsonguy0001 September 1, 2010 at 6:06 pm

So i recently played a game of golf at the local golf place and got 1 under the par with a k mart putter a hand me down driver and a hand me down chipper. my friends say im good at golf and was wondering if anyone thinks that this would be a good investment to play golf with at this stage.

franklakktweddle September 1, 2010 at 6:13 pm

I played with the newport version (of scotty camerons) an hit -3 on a 18 hole round on a putter practice green

franklakktweddle September 1, 2010 at 7:10 pm

the spider or the scotty one

texaswedgewarrior September 1, 2010 at 7:57 pm

A bit expensive but well worth it. I Just bought the Squareback version.. preferred the looks of the fastback but in practise I holed so many putts with the Squareback I couldn’t justify not having it.

aliboy2k8 September 1, 2010 at 8:05 pm

yes they do have a very nice feel but £180 is too much get a spider putter same feel and £80 cheaper

nmpatgolf1 September 1, 2010 at 8:42 pm

scottys are a great feeling putter, but they are a little pricey for the average golfer. They require a lot of feel, and many 10 + handicapers just dont have any feel. for a player who just wants to line it up, and hit it, go with the Taylormade Rossa Spider. I use this handicap and it has dropped me from a scratch golfer, to a + 2 handicap!!

qbb01 September 1, 2010 at 8:47 pm

dont waste your money mate. stick with a putter you like and use the money on lessons for technique. no use having a great putter if you cant use it

tylermclaren September 1, 2010 at 9:41 pm

Yeah the heel-toe weighted blade design is getting old. He claims it’s a “special” putter, but it will put like any Cameron, Bettinardi, Ping, or Odyssey.

Morgan8833 September 1, 2010 at 9:52 pm

Scotty Cameron hasnt made his own design yet, almost every one is copied from ping or tp mills

rubenthecat September 1, 2010 at 9:54 pm

Hey anyone heard of a putter called zen oracle and what do you think of it if you have
cheers

kbkesq September 1, 2010 at 10:09 pm

ummm…. Time for Scotty Cameron to hire a lawyer…

jelqer September 1, 2010 at 10:17 pm

I never knew they put that work into his line of putters. NICE.
