Surprisingly, Iike Adam’s swing better than Tiger’s. Adam stays level (head and hips) and his shaft is kicking in at the right time…imho

Fabriruiz March 8, 2010 at 12:22 am

the perfect swing.

bunkerputt March 8, 2010 at 12:25 am

He obviously needs to work on his flexibility xp

helenathena March 8, 2010 at 12:47 am

soooooooooooooooo smoooooth

philebbesen March 8, 2010 at 1:16 am

thats what a golf shaft looks like at impact. look up the long drivers and pause their clubs at impact its insane!

samimalmstrom March 8, 2010 at 1:18 am

@Shoksters Absolutely, atleast his mom probably thinks he has a good swing, i blocked him, we all should.

sbguard9 March 8, 2010 at 1:36 am

that always happens

shyamvijay123 March 8, 2010 at 2:07 am

whats goin on with the shaft at impact??

ko12010 March 8, 2010 at 2:51 am

@jcbkmk11 . No denying he has a good swing though. Sort of an In to Out move though, somewhat old school, but if the results are as good as he claims, maybed it is a PGA Tour quality swing. Lol, more than likely just a golfer obsessed solely with the swing and not the other aspects of the game.

Ireland171717 March 8, 2010 at 3:34 am

This is the craziest quality..very nice

Shoksters March 8, 2010 at 4:33 am

Don’t try and argue with mattyco.
He’s the biggest joke on youtube.

Since you want to go here then you must also incorporate Newton’s third law of reciprocal actions. If object “A” exerts a force on object “B” then “B” exerts a force on object “A” with equal magnitude in the opposite direction. Within the confines of the golf swing: when you are no longer accelerating your swing then the shaft (club) will surpass what was previously the driving force (body)……..hence the rebound affect.

Cheers

Yes it is.

mattyco1234 March 8, 2010 at 6:19 am

Ever heard of Newton’s Second Law, F=ma? More F, same m, = greater a. ’nuff said.

If you ever get the opportunity, visit the PING fitting Ctr at Moon Valley. I was fitted there and the simplistic explanation I gave was a rifled down engineering explanation I was given when at PING. Swinging easy has little to do with torso rotational speed which powers the swing. Few golfers will feel what a golf shaft can do unless they completely relax. As an Engineer, understanding load dynamics and how the loading force when not applied will make a device unload is key here.

Cheers

mattyco1234 March 8, 2010 at 7:03 am

alright i agree with you. For hackers like yourself who can’t bust 90 it is better to swing easy. For good players such as myself and all tour pros, swinging hard = more distance. I just didn’t realize you were only referencing bad golfers when you made the comment. My apologies.

TheCurious101 March 8, 2010 at 7:04 am

It’s not a myth, its a fact because you are connected and timing takes over. Tiger woods is one of a kind he can do what he wants, but the tour pros stay connected when hitting hard, and weren’t you here just to ramble on about how many shafts you’ve seen bend?

2005mtfuji March 8, 2010 at 8:02 am

Hey from the looks of it below you deleted comments…………why? Hopefully you delete the retarded comment you just posted as well.

“but for a tour pro for example” so I guess you are going to try to tell us your a tour pro?? or a pro?? by the way, what have you accomplished that makes you an expert?? Nothing……….oh yeah that’s right:

A KID WITH A COMPUTER = EXPERT

haha no one is impressed.

mattyco1234 March 8, 2010 at 8:30 am

ahh no that doesnt happen. it’s a common myth that when you swing easier you hit it farther. maybe it’s true if you’re a huge hack who is really tight when he swings, but for a tour pro for example, they hit it farther when they rip at it. take tiger’s drive at doral where he drives the green, don’t try and tell me he didn’t unleash everything he had on that one. tool.

probob97 March 8, 2010 at 8:32 am

Muscle tenision is a killer. I have always hated that some 22 year old skirt could have a driving distance avg more than me. I just recently have relaxed more when swinging and have had amazing results. Now if I could just leave my brain in the car when I play…

RojerPaul1 March 8, 2010 at 9:22 am

who cares about the kickpoint analyses. this is a kick ass swing!

caronenator March 8, 2010 at 9:47 am

For anyone who wants another view of shaft flex, check out any of the swing vision videos on the web. It is not as pronounced as it is here, but it is certainly the case that the head flexes forward ahead of impact.

rwiskavitch March 8, 2010 at 10:28 am

The shaft does have a rebound at the bottom of the swing and this helps generate the massive power all pro’s seem to have. Simple, haven’t all of you ever swung easily and simply crushed a drive that went 20-40 yards past your average drive? When the average golfer relaxes and swings within themselves they unleash real power. It is balance+tight rotation+relaxed muscles. The pronounced kick is the result.

Cheers

TheCurious101 March 8, 2010 at 10:50 am

The kickpoint is entirely for launch angle. I worked with callaway and there golf fitting system with the shafts.

High kickpoint = low and vice versa.
And on super slow mo the shaft does bend like this, but maybe not so extreme haha.. You fucking spastic mattyco

davidthibault84 March 8, 2010 at 11:14 am

You know what GolfVidJp, my reaction when I first heard that was pretty much like yours.

The only difference was in the words I used to answer him. Maybe because the person who told me this information was Callaway senior ingineer in Carslbad.

I’ve never been gross to answer you.I don’t ask you to trust me, but please, be respectful.
